The Ahmedabad landmark of Jail Bhajiya House, a snacks outlet run by prisoners of Sabarmati Central Jail, is set for a revamp with a three-storey structure comprsing a banquet hall, a photo gallery and a restaurant serving a ‘Gandhi Thaali’. According to a press note issued by the prisons department on Friday, the new building will be painted in “a new colour scheme with heritage look” and will be constructed at a cost of over Rs 2.4 crore.
