The city crime branch police on Thursday seized 105 parcels containing narcotics, including hybrid marijuana, MD drugs, and hashish, from the Foreign Post Office (FPO) in the Shahibaug area. The contraband, valued at ₹3.45 crore, was smuggled from the US, Canada, and Thailand, concealed within toys and food items, and shipped through online services to evade detection. Acting on a tip-off, police, along with customs officials, identified suspicious packages at the FPO. Among the seized parcels, nine matched the intelligence report, while 96 had remained unclaimed since 2019. During the inspection, officials also found cannabis oil and isopropyl nitrate bottles, marking a first in city drug seizures. ........
