State Education Minister Prafulbhai Pansheriya today announced the state government’s decision to increase the income limit for Std-1 admission under the Right to Education (RTE) Act. Previously, the income limit for RTE admission was set at ₹1.20 lakh in rural areas and ₹1.50 lakh in urban areas. Now, the Education Department has decided to increase the income limit for parents in both rural and urban areas to ₹6 lakh. This revision in the income slab for the RTE admission process for 2025-26 provides significant relief to children and parents from weaker and disadvantaged groups. ........
