All wildlife sanctuaries and national parks across Gujarat shall remain shut for a four-month-long period during the monsoon season, from June 15th to October 15th. The state government, in a note, stated that as per sections 28 and 33 of the Wildlife Protection Act, visitors are banned in sanctuaries and national parks during this period due to heavy rains, sudden floods, and cyclone-like situations.
