The first meeting of the Airport Advisory Committee for Rajkot International Airport was held on Thursday. BJP MP from Rajkot and former Union Minister Purushottam Rupala has been appointed as the chairman of the committee, with Rajya Sabha MP Rambhai Mokariya and Kesridevsinh Jhala named as members. During the meeting, the readiness of the new terminal building at the greenfield airport was reviewed. Airport Director Diganta Borah informed the committee that the new terminal building is complete. It was also stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited to inaugurate the new terminal, although it remains to be confirmed whether the inauguration will take place in person or virtually.
