The new terminal at Rajkot International Airport, located at Hirasar, is set to become operational on February 9. Approved by the Customs Department, this upgrade allows Rajkot to handle international flights, marking a major milestone for the region. While domestic operations have been running for two years through a temporary terminal, international flights are yet to begin. Covering 23,000 square meters, the terminal features modern amenities such as 256 CCTV cameras, four aerobridges, and parking for 14 aircraft. It is designed to accommodate up to 1,800 passengers at a time, ensuring seamless operations. Inspired by the Ranjitvilas Palace, the interiors showcase the rich cultural heritage of Saurashtra.
