The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC), aiming to combat mosquito breeding, will use drones for surveillance and to spray insecticide on the rooftops of residential societies and houses. In an experimental project, the SMC will inspect the rooftops of buildings and houses. After identifying potential mosquito breeding spots, it will use drones to spray insecticide in these areas.
