The Special Operations Group (SOG) of the city Police has apprehended four people, including a woman, at Surat International Airport for smuggling gold worth around Rs 50 lakhs. The woman, arriving from Sharjah of UAE, was found with suspicious items during the security scan. Upon inspection, it was found that she was concealing around 900 grams of gold paste in capsule form in her private parts.
