The Gujarat government has approved a grant of ₹57 crore for the construction of a 12-storey girls’ hostel at MS University. Meanwhile, a proposal for a new boys’ hostel, estimated at ₹72 crore, is also in the pipeline, pending approval. The approved girls’ hostel will be built on a 50,000-square-foot area and will have an 11-storey structure above the ground floor. The new facility will accommodate 600 students and include amenities such as warden quarters, a garden, and toilets on each floor. The decision to appoint a female engineer for the girls’ hostel will be made by the head office.
