As the city has won the bid to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games, the civic body has picked up the pace in developing sports infrastructure across Ahmedabad. In a related move, the Standing Committee of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Saturday gave the nod for the construction of a new sports complex in front of Pramukh Bungalows, covering T.P. 66 and T.P. 66/A in Ranip Ward of Zone 5. The development comes in response to the lack of sports facilities in the area, as highlighted by the local MLA and councillor. Accordingly, the project has been included in the AMC’s 2024-25 budget, recommended by the Standing Committee. ........
