The Airports Authority of India has projected a land requirement of approximately 237 acres to the Gujarat government for the purpose of development at Bhavnagar airport, stated the Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, in response to a question from a Rajya Sabha member during the ongoing monsoon session of Parliament. The current Bhavnagar Terminal Building spans 1275 square meters and is currently capable of handling up to 150 passengers during peak hours. Additionally, the airport’s runway has dimensions of 1920m x 45m, catering to ATR72/Q400 type aircraft operations. At present, there are two scheduled flights per day with weekly 24 movements.
