Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, while inaugurating the Saputara Monsoon Festival on Saturday, said tourism-led development would play an important role in strengthening the state’s economy and creating employment opportunities. Highlighting ongoing and completed tourism projects in South Gujarat, Sanghavi said the Gujarat Tourism Corporation has completed several projects at Saputara to improve facilities and attract more visitors. The development of tourism facilities at Sunset Point has been completed at a cost of ₹9.85 crore and opened to tourists. The project includes a food court, administrative block, parking facilities, basic amenities, landscaping, a sundial and other site development works. Similarly, the ₹4.40-crore redevelopment of Sunrise Point has been completed and opened to visitors.
