Gujarat’s overall water storage position has shown some improvement with the return of monsoon rain, with the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam reaching 94.74% of its total storage capacity as of 8 am on September 14. According to the latest state government data, the reservoir currently holds 3,16,493 million cubic feet (mcft) of water. The present water level stands at 449.80 feet, against a full reservoir level of 454.98 feet. The Narmada reservoir is receiving an inflow of around 86,323 cusecs, while the outflow into the river stands at 32,069 cusecs, indicating strong inflows following rainfall across the Narmada catchment. ........
