Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla, in association with Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited (APCL), today laid the foundation stone for a 150 TPD e-Methanol plant at the DPA Exhibition Ground in Gandhidham. The foundation stone was laid by Union Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The proposed e-Methanol plant involves an investment of around ₹2,300 crore and brings together APCL’s industrial expertise with DPA’s strategic maritime infrastructure. Planned in scalable modules, the 150 TPD facility is aimed at strengthening the availability of cleaner fuels for the maritime sector. Located at Deendayal Port, one of India’s major maritime gateways, the project is expected to promote the use of e-Methanol as a cleaner marine fuel and support greener shipping operations, including vessels operating on international routes. ........
