Visitors travelling to the Somnath temple and local here are set to get a modernised bus station as the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) moves ahead with the redevelopment of the existing Somnath bus station. The redevelopment is estimated to cost ₹78.27 crore, and GSRTC has invited bids to appoint a Project Management Consultant (PMC) for the project. The PMC will oversee the project from construction to completion. Its responsibilities will include site supervision, quality control, verification of contractor bills and measurements, monitoring construction progress and assisting GSRTC in obtaining statutory approvals.
