Gujarat News

Good news is in the offing for student- entrepreneurs of the state. Ahmedabad will soon house a 10,000 sq feet innovation hub to facilitate early stage start-ups. This ‘State Innovation Hub’ will not only handhold innovations and startup ideas of ‘student entrepreneurs’ from across universities and colleges in the state, but also provide them with a world class innovation support system. The hub is slated to come up at Vishwakarma Government Engineering College campus where IIT Gandhinagar was earlier housed. Initially, it will function from the Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat (KCG) campus in Navrangpura that will later become a satellite campus. Besides, four regional centers will also come up in Surat, Rajkot and Vadodara that will be run from government engineering colleges and support innovations of 200 colleges and student ideas in its vicinity.
