Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today approved works worth approximately ₹1,003 crore for Phase-2 of the Kharicut Canal Redevelopment project being carried out by the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC). Under Phase-2, in Stretch-1, from S.P. Ring Road to Naroda Crematorium; in Stretch-2, from Vinjol Wehala to Ghodasar (Aavkar Hall); in Stretch-3, from Ghodasar (Aavkar Hall) to Vatva Gam; and in Stretches 4 and 5, from Vatva Gam to S.P. Ring Road, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation will undertake the redevelopment of the existing canal. ........
