SpiceJet has announced the launch of non-stop flights between Ahmedabad and Sharjah, strengthening direct air connectivity between Gujarat and the United Arab Emirates. The new service will operate five days a week starting February 5, 2026. The direct route is expected to cater to rising demand from business travellers, tourists and the Indian expatriate community, particularly those with trade and family links between Gujarat and the Gulf region. According to the airline, Sharjah will become SpiceJet’s second destination in the UAE after Dubai. Ahmedabad, a major commercial and cultural hub, has long maintained strong economic and social ties with Gulf countries, making the route strategically significant. ........
