Limbayat Police has arrested Sulaiman Chand Sheikh, accused of printing and circulating provocative pamphlets targeting Hindu organizations. What is unusual in this case is that the accused allegedly orchestrated the act to defame his son-in-law. According to details of the case, 24-year-old Raees Sheikh, a resident of Noorani Nagar in Limbayat, runs “Star Trek Coaching Classes” at his cousin’s house in Pratapnagar, teaching mathematics and science to students from grades 6 to 10. The controversy arose when pamphlets were distributed claiming that the tuition class was teaching students strategies to counter anti-Muslim organizations and undermine groups like the RSS, Bajrang Dal, and Shiv Sena. The issue escalated when Bajrang Dal activists called Raees’s brother, Mushtaq, on Friday, questioning why they were inciting Muslim children against Hindus through such pamphlets. Both Mushtaq and Raees, unaware of the incident, investigated the matter and were shocked to find that the pamphlets had been circulated by Raees’s father-in-law. Raees subsequently approached Limbayat Police and filed a complaint against his father-in-law for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus and attempting to incite communal hatred between the two communities.
