Wearing a helmet while riding a two-wheeler will be mandatory in the city from February 15. To ensure compliance with the rules, a special campaign will be launched by the Surat Traffic Police. As part of the campaign, the city traffic police department will deploy 300 traffic officers and over 3,000 police personnel at major junctions and roads across the city. E-challans will be issued to those riding without helmets by identifying them with the help of cameras, including drone cameras, and the “One Nation, One Challan” app. The Surat Police Commissioner and the Traffic Department have prepared an action plan for strict enforcement. The police department has urged everyone to avoid stepping out without a helmet from February 15. .........
