While three Vande Bharat Express trains are currently operational in Gujarat, all originating from Ahmedabad, the city of Vadodara is likely to have a Vande Bharat Express train, originating from the city. Railways mulls to operate a new Vande Bharat Express train connecting Vadodara in Gujarat to Pune in Maharashtra. Prior to the final decision on this, a trial run will be conducted between Vadodara and Vasai Road. Although the date for the trial run is not finalized, the trial train’s schedule indicates departure from Vadodara station at 4:35 in the evening, arriving at Vasai Road at 8:40 PM. On the return journey, the train will depart from Vasai at 11:37 AM, reaching Vadodara at 3:30 PM, covering a total distance of 344 km in four hours and ten minutes.
