A steel bridge of 70 m length was successfully launched over the two DFCCIL tracks near Vadodara on 8th April 2025 for Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project. This is the seventh steel bridge completed for the project in Gujarat out of the planned 28 steel bridges for the entire corridor. The construction of these seven steel bridges have utilized over 10,000 metric tons of steel providing a significant boost to the steel industries in India. This 674 MT steel bridge of 13 m in height and 14 m in width has been fabricated at the workshop in Durgapur, Kolkata and was transported on trailers to the site for installation. The bridge is launched using 49-meter-long launching nose, which weighs around 204 metric tons. ........
