The Centre has approved Rs. 1097.59 crore road works for Gujarat including a new four lane bridge over river Sabarmati near Dharoi dam on National Highway 58. The new river bridge will replace a low level cause way. This project also includes two vehicle underpasses, 3 small bridges and 4 nala. In the monsoon, when water is released from Dharoi dam, a low level causeway gets submerged and traffic is disrupted for one month on Vadali – Satlasna road.
