An Air India flight bound for London with 130 passengers on board crashed shortly after takeoff near Ahmedabad airport on Thursday. According to preliminary information, the aircraft went down near Meghaninagar, triggering panic in the area. Thick smoke from the crash site was visible as far as Vastrapur. Emergency response teams, including the fire brigade, were immediately rushed to the spot. Further details are awaited.
