A serious and disturbing incident has come to light from the Jamalpur area of the city, where a seven-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 21-year-old youth. The incident occurred at the local mosque under the jurisdiction of the Gaekwad Haveli police station, following which police promptly arrested the accused. According to police, the incident took place on Friday during Jumma prayers, when the child had gone to the mosque to offer prayers. A youth identified as Nauman Sheikh allegedly lured the child to a secluded spot on the mosque terrace, where he is accused of committing an unnatural act. The child’s condition was reported to be serious after the incident, and he is currently undergoing medical treatment. .........
