Customs officials seized gold worth Rs 20.1 lakh from a passenger arriving from Dubai at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport in Ahmedabad on Monday after detecting a suspicious patch concealed inside the passenger’s trolley bag. During a detailed inspection of the passenger’s cabin baggage, officers found a cloth patch discreetly attached inside the trolley bag, raising suspicion. A closer examination revealed that gold paste had been concealed as a layer on the cloth patch, according to an official release issued by the Customs department.
