Gujarat continued to reel under intense summer heat on Friday, with temperatures rising significantly above normal across several parts of the state. According to the weather report issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Amreli recorded the highest maximum temperature at 43.3°C, followed closely by Rajkot at 43.1°C and Ahmedabad at 42.1°C. Major cities including Gandhinagar (41.5°C) and Vadodara (41.6°C) were also among the hottest locations, indicating a widespread heatwave-like situation across central and Saurashtra regions. Temperatures in most inland areas were recorded 1.0°C to 3.2°C above normal, highlighting a notable deviation from seasonal averages. .......
