Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday virtually inaugurated 75 redeveloped railway stations across the country under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, including four stations in Gujarat, Godhra, Pratapnagar, Porbandar and Bhaktinagar, from a public event in Jalandhar. The redeveloped stations feature upgraded passenger amenities, improved accessibility, modern infrastructure and enhanced circulation areas aimed at providing a safer and more comfortable travel experience. Pratapnagar Railway Station (Vadodara): The 145-year-old Pratapnagar Railway Station has been redeveloped at a cost of ₹71.58 crore, making it the largest among the four Gujarat projects. The station now has upgraded platforms, a new Platform 4, a 12-metre-wide foot overbridge with lift connectivity, heritage-themed interiors, improved waiting areas, disability-friendly facilities, organised parking and a new station building. The station is also being developed as a satellite terminal to ease congestion at Vadodara Junction and improve connectivity for passengers travelling to the Statue of Unity. .....
