A nine-year-old boy was gravely injured after being attacked by a pet Rottweiler in the Lad Society area of Vastrapur on Tuesday morning. The victim, Ashvin Dineshbhai Rot, is the son of a domestic worker who was performing chores at a nearby bungalow when the incident occurred. According to the police complaint filed by the child’s father, Dineshbhai Rot, Ashvin was playing a game on a mobile phone near Bungalow No. 17 when the dog, a black and brown Rottweiler named Hazle suddenly attacked him. The child sustained injuries to his head and above his right eye. Witnesses stated that the attack was sudden, and the child was only saved after neighbors intervened. Ashvin was immediately rushed to DHS Hospital near Vastrapur Lake, where he received medical treatment, including stitches for his wounds. Following the attack, the Vastrapur Police registered an FIR against the dog’s owner, Alpaben Hiteshkumar Rajput, for negligence and failure to take proper precautions with a pet. .......
