Following a fire incident at a hotel in Delhi, the Fire Department of the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC), in a special inspection drive conducted across hotels and commercial buildings in the city, found serious violations of fire safety norms. After the identified deficiencies were not rectified despite notices being issued, the AMC’s Fire and Estate Departments sealed six hotels in the Thaltej, Bodakdev, and Vastrapur areas. Ahmedabad Fire Brigade Divisional Fire Officer S.B. Jadeja said that following the fire incident at a hotel in Delhi, a joint inspection drive was carried out by the Fire Department and the North-West Zone Estate Department. The teams conducted fire risk mitigation, life safety, legal compliance, and vigilance checks at hotels, restaurants, and buildings with kitchens and guest rooms in the Bodakdev and Thaltej areas. .......
