The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Ahmedabad Rural Police has busted a major racket involving the adulteration of blood plasma bags supplied to a pharma company in the Changodar area for financial gain. Police have arrested four accused, including the mastermind, and seized goods worth approximately ₹12.06 lakh. The operation was carried out by the SOG based on a tip-off that a person named Dineshbhai Umabhai Chaudhary was replacing original blood plasma units (bags) supplied as per the company’s order with adulterated plasma units at a pharma company located in the Changodar area. Based on this information, surveillance was set up, and the entire scam was exposed during the investigation. A case was registered in this matter at Changodar Police Station under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Considering the seriousness of the crime, further investigation was handed over to PSI P.N. Gohil of the SOG. During the investigation, the remand of the accused was obtained, and the main mastermind of the racket was also arrested from Maharashtra. ........
