Karnavati Club might have won an 11-year-old legal battle over retaining the Golden Glory hall that was allegedly built on government land, but its woes are far from over. It still faces an uphill task of regularising the land on which the hall stands, the cost of which the government has pegged at Rs 250 crore. On Friday, a bench of Chief Justice R Subhash Reddy and Justice V M Pancholi ruled in favour of the club and disposed of a group of petitions seeking to raze the Golden Glory hall. The petitioners had submitted that the club authority had encroached upon government land.
