Diamond City’s skyline is set for a major change, with the state government’s Special Technical Committee (STC) approving a 142.99-metre multi-storey commercial building near Pal RTO. Once completed, the 40-storey Vasupujya Rio Crest is expected to become the tallest building in the city. The project, being developed by Vasupujya Developer Group, will surpass the two existing structures in Surat that stand more than 100 metres tall. Under the guidelines for tall buildings, the project has been allowed a maximum Floor Space Index (FSI) of 5.40. The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) will receive ₹30.56 crore as an additional infrastructure charge from the project. ........
