Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services (AFES) has launched a major inspection drive targeting hotels, educational institutions, and coaching classes to ensure strict compliance with fire safety regulations across the city. As part of the citywide drive, notices were issued to a total of 154 hotels and 62 educational and coaching institutions. Additionally, 13 hotels and one educational/coaching institution were sealed for serious violations of fire safety regulations. Zone-wise, notices were issued to 20 hotels in the South West Zone. In the South Zone, notices were served to 13 hotels and three educational/coaching institutions. In the Central Zone, notices were issued to 27 hotels and eight educational/coaching institutions. .......
