The Amdavad Municipal Corporation’s (AMC) health and food department on Monday sealed a confectionery manufacturing unit in Hirawadi, Isanpur, after finding it producing lollipops under a retailer’s food licence and allegedly violating food safety norms. During the inspection, officials found lollipops being manufactured in unhygienic conditions and seized around 1,500 kg of stock worth ₹4.5 lakh. The action was taken against Manan Food, located on GD High School Road in Hirawadi. The unit, owned by Nareshbhai Ghanshyambhai Mangwani, was manufacturing mixed-flavour lollipops classified as sugar-boiled confectionery. ......
