A Centre of Excellence for Road Safety and Traffic Management will be established at Viramgam to enhance road safety and promote a safer transportation ecosystem. The foundation stone for the facility, a joint initiative of the Ahmedabad Rural Police and Honda Motor Company, was laid on Friday. Honda will invest ₹3 crore in the project under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. The proposed centre will serve as a dedicated hub for road safety research, technology adoption, capacity building, data-driven traffic enforcement, public awareness, and coordination among various agencies.
