The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Tuesday raided Jay Mataji Traders in Madhupura, sealed the spice manufacturing unit, and issued stop-sale orders for around 2,000 kg of spices worth an estimated Rs 12.50 lakh. The unit was engaged in manufacturing chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander-cumin powder, and garam masala.  Maps   The action was initiated after a gravy sample collected from Jay Ambe Bhojanalay was found to be unsafe during laboratory testing. The spices were found to be of the Kesarinandan brand from Jay Mataji Traders, owned by Vikram Kishor Thwani. A team from the food department inspected the manufacturing unit on Tuesday and found both packaged and loose stocks of chilli powder, turmeric powder, and coriander-cumin powder sold under the Kesarinandan Spices brand. .........
