Surat police busted a gang and arrested five people, including a delivery executive, for allegedly stealing original electronic products worth Rs 8.82 lakh from Amazon consignments, replacing them with dummy items and returning the shipments to a warehouse. According to an FIR registered at Pal police station on September 5, the key accused, Jay Virash, was working as a delivery executive handling Amazon shipments through Intex Transportation Services Pvt Ltd. The matter came to light on August 20 after the company received a suspicious notification from an Amazon warehouse in the Pal area. Officials subsequently reviewed CCTV footage and examined consignments handled by Virash. During the inquiry, officials allegedly found that a Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 Ultra 5G, valued at Rs 2.04 lakh, had been removed from its packaging and replaced with a dummy handset before the shipment was returned to the warehouse. .......
