The Surat city police’s Special Operations Group (SOG), along with the district health department, raided eight clinics in Pandesara on Wednesday and arrested eight people for allegedly practising medicine without recognised medical qualifications. The raids followed verification by SOG personnel, who visited the eight clinics using dummy patients after receiving information about people allegedly posing as doctors. Three teams each from the SOG and health department subsequently conducted simultaneous raids. Those arrested were identified as Parth Debnath, 40; Siddharth Debnath, 38; Vinodkumar Sahani, 36; Manoranjan Biswal, 54; Sajal Biswas, 21; Vijay Yadav, 55; Sandeep Sonawane, 49; and Shyamnarayan Gupta, 53. ........
