A Blinkit customer in the Vesu area was left shocked after a loaf of bread delivered by the quick-commerce platform was found covered in green mold. Following a complaint, the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) inspected the Blinkit store and imposed a ₹10,000 fine on the outlet. According to the information, the customer had ordered the bread from a Blinkit dark store near Ramdev Sweets in Vesu. Although the order was delivered within around 15 to 20 minutes, the customer found the bread in a rotten condition and covered with extensive green mold after opening the packet. The customer subsequently took the bread to the Blinkit store and confronted the staff and manager over the quality of the product. Following the incident, a complaint was lodged with the Food Safety Department of the Surat Municipal Corporation. ........
