Customs officials at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport in the city intercepted a couple arriving from Sharjah and seized gold jewellery and other undeclared goods worth approximately Rs 32.37 lakh, officials said on Sunday. According to Ahmedabad Customs, the Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) intercepted the two passengers based on intelligence developed through passenger profiling after they arrived in Ahmedabad from Sharjah. During the examination, officials found that the woman was carrying gold jewellery concealed in her purse and on her body beneath her clothes.
