The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has launched 280 on-street smart flap parking slots on CG Road between Stadium Cross Road and Panchvati Cross Road. The system is aimed at regulating parking and preventing unauthorised or improper parking on the road. The facility is available only for four-wheelers. Under the smart flap parking system, when citizens park their four-wheelers in a designated parking slot, a sensor-based automated flap barrier automatically comes up and locks the vehicle securely. The parking time is calculated automatically when the vehicle is taken back. After paying the parking fee through UPI or other digital means by scanning the QR code, the flap barrier automatically unlocks, allowing the vehicle to be taken out. .......
