A modern mortuary equipped with a post-mortem department and 18 cold storage units was inaugurated on Wednesday at the Amdavad Municipal Corporation-run Sheth L.G. Municipal General Hospital in Maninagar. The new facility is expected to reduce the need for residents and police personnel from eastern parts of the city to travel to Civil Hospital in Asarwa or other distant facilities for post-mortem examinations and related procedures. The availability of these services in Maninagar is expected to save time and reduce transportation-related challenges, particularly in cases involving accidents, sudden deaths and other medico-legal matters. ........
