Amid its ongoing crackdown on adulterated food products and analogue paneer, the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has sealed three establishments for violating food safety norms and seized 2,570 kg of food products and ghee. The sealed units are Bombay Biryani in Navrangpura ward, Royal Dairy & Sweets in Kalupur and Aishree Khodiyar Gruh Udyog in Gota ward. At Aishree Khodiyar Gruh Udyog in Meldi Estate, Gota, AMC officials seized 2,015 kg of food products worth Rs 70,800, including dates, tamarind and chutney. Samples of date-tamarind chutney, fruit squash and fruit syrup were collected and sent to a public laboratory for testing after the products were found to be prepared under unhygienic conditions. .......
