A man allegedly abused and threatened an Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) employee with a knife after civic staff impounded his unregistered pet dog in Sarkhej on Monday. According to a complaint filed with Sarkhej police, Nitin Solanki, 45, is posted with the AMC’s Cattle Nuisance Control Department (CNCD) in Jamalpur. The team conducts dog-catching, vaccination and sterilisation drives under the Animal Birth Control (ABC) Rules, 2023. Around 1.30pm, the team caught a dog and was placing it in an AMC vehicle when a man approached, claiming it was his pet. Solanki asked him to produce the dog’s registration documents, but the man allegedly admitted that the dog was unregistered. .......
